Windows 11 Updates
KB5039212 (OS Builds 22621.3737 and 22631.3737)
- Taskbar fixes: Addresses a known issue where the taskbar might briefly glitch, not respond, or disappear and reappear.
- Drag and Drop in File Explorer: Improved drag and drop support in the File Explorer address bar.
- New Microsoft Account Menu: Added a new account manager menu in the Start menu for easier management of Microsoft account settings.
- QR Code Sharing: Introduced the ability to create QR codes for webpage URLs and cloud files from the Windows share window.
- Email Sharing: Users can now send emails to themselves from the Windows share window.
- Recovery Email Addition: Added a button in Settings > Accounts to add a recovery email for Microsoft accounts.
- Security and quality improvements: Includes all improvements from the previous update KB5037853, addressing issues with lsass.exe, BitLocker, and memory leaks during LSARPC calls.
- Backup enhancements: Windows will now back up sound settings to your Microsoft account for restoring on new devices
- No known issues: Microsoft is not currently aware of any issues with this update.
KB5039213 (OS Build 22000.3019)
- Security updates: This update primarily addresses security issues for Windows 11 version 21H2.
- SMB over QUIC: Enables SMB over QUIC client certificate authentication to restrict client access to SMB over QUIC servers.
curl.exe
update: Updates the version of curl.exe to 8.7.1.- Various fixes: Addresses issues with lsass.exe, remote desktop sessions, Storage Spaces Direct, Containers, and more.
- Known issues: Users might be unable to change their user account profile picture after installing this update.
Windows 10 Updates
KB5039211 (OS Builds 19044.4529 and 19045.4529)
- New Snipping Tool feature: Allows users to edit photos taken on Android devices directly in Windows.
- Security updates: Contains security updates as part of the June 2024 Patch Tuesday.
- Bug fixes: Includes 12 fixes, addressing issues with lsass.exe, screen sharing, USB controller Share button, and more.
- Copilot issues: Desktop icons may move unexpectedly between monitors when using Copilot, and Copilot is not supported if the taskbar is positioned vertically.
- Profile Picture error: Users might receive error code 0x80070520 when attempting to change their account profile picture.
These updates are mandatory and will be automatically installed via Windows Update. Users can also manually download and install the updates from the Microsoft Update Catalog.
